When you commission a painting from me, it begins with you — It may be your story, your journey, the things that have shaped you or the things that are still unfolding.… or simply a feeling, a color palette, a sense of atmosphere you want to live with.
Some pieces are deeply personal, woven with symbolism and details that reflect who you are beneath the surface or a sense of where you are going, or who you are becoming. Others take the form of florals or abstract compositions, still intuitive, still intentional, but guided more by mood, rhythm, and visual harmony.
As I work, I hold not only your story in mind, but also your space. The colors, the scale, the atmosphere of your home… all of it matters. This piece should belong to you in every sense, not just emotionally, but aesthetically too.
If you’d like, I can share a visual concept beforehand, so you have a sense of what’s taking shape. But interestingly, most people choose not to see it. They prefer the moment of discovery — the experience of being surprised by something that was made just for them.
This is a collaborative process, but also an intuitive one. My role is to listen carefully, to notice what isn’t always said, and to translate that into something you’ll want to live with, reflect on, and return to over time.
If that resonates with you, then we’re already beginning.
How it works
-
Getting started is simple. You can reach out to me by sending an email to elizeroelofse@gmail.com.
From there, we can schedule a call or a meeting, or you can share via email what you have in mind and we’ll take it from there.

You don’t need to have everything figured out in our first conversation. Many clients begin with just a feeling and we shape it together from there.
As I work, I hold both you and your space in mind. The colors, the scale, the atmosphere of your home — all of it matters. The painting is created to feel as though it truly belongs, in every sense.
If you’d like, I can share a visual concept beforehand, so you have a sense of what’s taking shape. Interestingly, most people choose not to see it. They prefer the moment of discovery, the surprise of encountering something made just for them.

I keep my pricing simple and transparent.
It’s based on the size of the painting, calculated by adding the width and height (in centimetres) and multiplying that total by 6. This is a common method used in Europe, where the sum of the dimensions is multiplied by a set factor based on the artist’s experience.
For example, a 50cm × 50cm painting would be calculated as:
50 + 50 = 100
100 × 6 = €600Deposit
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon confirmation. This covers materials and secures your booking.VAT
All prices listed above include VAT.Payment plan
The 50% deposit is required upfront. The remaining balance can be paid monthly over a period of up to 12 months, if that suits you better. This gives you a clear starting point, and we can always adjust the details together to fit your vision and your budget.
Timeline
The timeline depends on several factors, such as the medium (for example, oil paint requires a longer drying time), the complexity of the piece, and my current workload. In general, most paintings take between 4 to 12weeks to complete. Larger or more detailed works, as well as pieces in oil, may take longer.
Once you reach out, I will be able to provide a more accurate estimate based on your specific project and my current schedule.

I create your piece with care and attention, holding both your story and your space in mind.
