Through the Eyes of a Child
There’s something profoundly beautiful about the pure, uncluttered innocence we see in a child. It carries a kind of quiet glory—something contagious that can shift the whole atmosphere. In a simple, open-hearted gaze, trust shines without hesitation or fear.
When my children look at me with sparkling eyes and wide, unrestrained smiles, something deep stirs within me. Their joy isn’t measured or cautious—it’s wholehearted and filled with trust. In those moments, I catch a glimpse of how grace invites us to see the world: through the eyes of a child.
As we grow older, life has a way of layering our hearts with regret, disappointment, and shame. The twinkle fades. Trust becomes guarded. But grace offers another way—a place where love covers our imperfections and acceptance frees us from the weight of what’s been.
When we dare to believe that we are fully accepted, just as we are, something inside us softens. We can shed the heavy cloak of shame and lift our arms again in joy. Perhaps it’s time to emerge from the layers life has placed on us and rediscover the childlike wonder still alive within—the one that trusts freely, loves openly, and believes in goodness once more.
